Poorly designed program
The Friday night show at Radio City was not worthy of the venue. Although Prince Royce's performance was very professional and he sang and interfaced with his audience well, the concert had a rough and unprofessional start. The event started off with some kid in a pink 'I want to be as cool as Justin Bieber' knit cap. He was originally introduced as Prince Royce, and the people in the back of the theater all thought it was him, but Royce can sing and this kid thinks he can...It was not until the opening act was over that his name was ever mentioned...It was then noted that he was 14, and I'll give him creds just for getting up in front of an audience. At some point 4 very cute dancers came on stage and if they had never met each other prior to walking on stage I would not be surprised. Although they all gyrated well individually there did not seem to be any unison in their performance. At least this group of dancers could be visible, the second group of dancers - equally as hot but they danced together, however the stage was lit only in the front and some of the dancers performed in the pitch dark. All I could see was a portion of their legs. When the curtain went up for Prince Royce, there appeared to be a major stage malfunction. It took about 5 minuted for the music to start, it seemed that a light bar was swinging and in danger of falling on the stage, whatever the delay was it was too long and was a solid buzz kill for a many in the audience.
